Selby Reserve, Hopetoun Park
Landscaping with natural values
- Low-density community on the outskirts of Bacchus Marsh, overlooking the Moorabool River valley;
- Lead consultant of design team including survey and landscape works documentation to budget of $300K;
- Site analysis identified potential habitat for the endangered Growling Grass Frog (GGF) and a Wurungeri Woi Wurrung scar tree, both then included in the design scope;
- Full landscape works package and specifications issued, construction completed 2022.
Warrnambool Community Garden Master Plan
Quarry Event Space Redevelopment
- Vision to rehabilitate a quarry as a performance space;
- Collaborative design process allowed stakeholders to steer the direction of the project;
- Implementation Plan provided the Committee with clear steps forward in what is a complex and long-term project;
- The Quarry Performance Space project has been recognised with local, state and national awards;

Teesdale Activity Trail
Landscape encourages walk to school
- Golden Plains Shire commissioned PM&A to design an activity trail - the Trail of the Turtle - to encourage kids to walk to school;
- Fun sessions at the nearby Primary School generated many ideas;
- Multiple intertwining pathways so there is a different experience every day of the week, tree tunnel, turtle play sculpture, linear activity trail, pathway jumps and sheoak woodland;
- Hailed by health promotion charity Victoria Walks as an innovative solution, one that dovetails with their Smart Steps program.
Smythesdale Botanic Gardens Reserve Master Plan
Preserving a loved community asset
- Changing focus from horticulture to recreational use, including RV's;
- Opportunity to increase visitors as an overnight RV stopover;
- Need to balance the historic and recreation values of the Gardens;
- Our role was to help the community identify issues and opportunities and then agree on priority actions and a plan for improving and managing the Reserve.
Lookout Reserve Master Plan, Ocean Grove
Caring for an Ocean Grove icon.
- Site Analysis and Concept Designs assisted Rotary Club win funding;
- We identified key issues and opportunities and resolved this into a Concept Master Plan.
- This process facilitated a two-way discussion with Council and engagement over a variety of issues.
- We then prepared an Implementation Plan
Clarke-Grantleigh Reserve, Darley
- In recent decades Darley has become a major suburban area of Bacchus Marsh, requiring ongoing development of open space assets to provide enhanced recreational opportunities.
- Moorabool Shire has identified this reserve as a target for investment in upgraded public amenity and we were asked to prepare a Landscape Master Plan to take to the community for discussion.
- Following consultation we undertook design development and prepared detailed construction documentation and specifications.
- The project has been funded and is currently scheduled for implementation in during FY2023-24.
