"Deakin University, Campus Services, Grounds division has been working alongside Perry Mills as a
consultant since 2014, across all of 4 campuses.
In his time working with us, he has delivered a broad range of projects for the University, from small to
large landscape projects, including plant selection, hard landscaping, irrigation and furniture selection,
hostile vehicle mitigation as well more strategic works such as landscape design guidelines and
revegetation/bio diversity plans.
Through our long working relationship, we have found that Perry has a very strong understanding of
designing landscapes and planting selections that are low maintenance while still presenting
He has worked with our maintenance team to gain an insight into the issues they face whilst also
providing advice on how to best maintain our landscapes to meet the design brief.
We found him to be highly effective at stakeholder engagement and being able to deliver an outcome
that suitable for our needs and budgets, which is why he is recommended across many divisions of the

"Perry is a very experienced and pragmatic professional who has the environment at heart. His site evaluation skills are excellent, as is his ability to transform ideas into clear concepts on paper."
Paul Austin, Contracts Manager, CT Management Group
"Thankyou for meeting with us today, I was really impressed by how you managed to bring together such a divergent group with differing opinions and beliefs and incorporate our often conflicting contributions. There’s nothing like working with a community committee to test your facilitation skills!
The Concept Plan that you have developed for the Smythesdale Gardens is bright, clear and inspiring, We really appreciate your skills and flexibility in accommodating our needs into a most useful document that will assist us in the development of the Reserve, and look forward to involving you further in the micro design of specific areas once we determine our priorities."
Bill Mac Neill, Smythesdale Progress Association
"The design you created for us is an unqualified success and would like to thank you for your advice.
We do enjoy the patio area and love to sit out there and relax. Most of the plants are doing extremely well and the garden looks great. Some of the plants that I had never heard of are just beautiful - they are flowering now.
Your creative ideas have certainly made our home more "livable" and have increased its value"

“Your planning and insight has transformed this area, that was previously an under-utilised eyesore, into a very functional recreational sport and educational precinct. The project has provided significant benefits to the school and the community.”
Mr David Whelan, Principal Geelong High School
"Perry Mills' design is aesthetically pleasing in its setting, the planting looks great and the rocks are not only a deterrent to parking, but look to be an integral part of the landscape. It has truly enhanced that area of the Lighthouse Precinct, and feedback from residents is that they are also happy with the outcome.
Another positive is that traffic now appears to have second thoughts about driving down the street, leaving people free to walk down the road and enjoy the vistas.
We also wish to convey our appreciation of the community consultation during the process"

"To Whom It May Concern,
We have used the Landscape Architect services of Perry Mills to design for our property in Torquay, Victoria, over the last couple of months. Our block is a vacant bush block, and we were struggling for ideas to best utilise the space.
We have found Perry to be extremely creative whilst also able to closely follow our brief to come up with a design that we love and are determined to follow. Our land came with strict Shire Guidelines and Perry was also accurate in his ability to meet the guidelines and thus speed up the planning approval process.
We thoroughly recommend Perry Mills services and wish him well and success with his independent business venture. Our only regret is that we can’t click our fingers and magically be sitting in his fabulous design!
Thank you Perry!
Nicole and David Watson"
Thanks for your revised sets of plans for our block at Diamond Creek.
We had no qualms with recommending you to our prospective neighbour (Kim); and she has herself commented on your speedy and comprehensive service.
Well done again Perry, your help is appreciated.
Regards and Thanks"
